I must confess, I'm contacting you in regard to some assistance I require in fighting Mr. Dio. I recently discovered that he is a vampire, and he has intimated he would bring harm to me if I tell anyone about his nature. I'm only a human. I have no powers, no real training with weapons. Is there some weakness he has apart from sunlight? There are legends of vampires I'm familiar with, but they vary widely. Will a crucifix stop him, do you know? Will garlic ward him away? Must he request entry to a house before entering?

Hey! I dunno how you greet a lord so sorry if my form is kinda lacking, just bear with me, okay? I'm gonna go ahead and say I'm sorry you've had to deal with that piece of shit, that guy's the fucking worst.
Please tell me if language bothers you and if it does I'll make an effort to fix it.
That said, yeah, my father's side of the family has had a pretty huge beef with the guy, but to be honest, I've only met pops and my nephew for the first time about four months ago, and we've had other shit to deal with, so we didn't really go into details about asshole vampires who should be fucking dead already anyway.
I'm sorry to say I've got no fucking clue how you defeat a vampire but I'm pretty sure garlic and crucifix aren't gonna do shit, and you're probably not gonna keep him off your house. But hey, if you need a bodyguard, I can crash at your place and take care of it.
Dio's got something called a "Stand", it's kinda complicated to explain, y'know? But that's why he's so fucking strong. And I guess he can also plant some weird stuff in your brain to make you do whatever he wants. But its power is to "fix and restore" things. I can heal people and do a bunch of other stuff with it if I'm smart about it, but "to fix" is its only power. Some . . . . jerk . . . . I know can turn any part of someone's body in a book, and with that he can read everything about them, their history, their memories, stuff like that, you know? And also write on the pages if he wants to give them an order or whatever. But turning them into a book is the Stand's power. There's exception like Stands that evolve and change powers as they do, but I'm pretty damn sure that's rare.
You following? To make it short, stopping time and controlling people's mind aren't compatible things, so they gotta be two different powers. The control's gotta be because he's a vampire. But the other dimension stuff, I guess that's possible, if he can permanently stop time around a single person. If you look at it that way it'd be believable, right?

That you've confirmed several things and allayed my concerns about the extent of Mr. Dio's abilities is a great deal more than I had to begin with. Knowing that he has a short range for at least one of his abilities is, likewise, comforting. I know several persons in our company who are long-range combatants who might be able to do something against him if it becomes necessary.
Has he attacked you directly? I do have a network of law enforcement and magical fighters that I can apprise of his strengths and weaknesses to more effectively combat him. The power to manipulate minds would seem to me to be the most concerning. I've been mind-controlled before and it is not a terribly pleasant experience to have your body act of its own accord and have your memories erased.
Mr. Dio is not the only one in our company with that particularly dangerous ability.

I suppose that's a lot to take in, but the short version is that I was born out of wedlock. I've never actually met him, but I saw him in one of the Network posts and recognized him from a picture I have. He looked a little...different, but I knew it was him. I asked for more information about him and that was how I found out about Jonathan and yourself.
